New undercover footage shows staff at a Milwaukee, WI Planned
Parenthood abortion clinic counseling a purportedly 14-year-old
statutory rape victim not to tell anyone about her 31-
year-old boyfriend and coaching her how to obtain an abortion without
her parents' consent. The new video, ninth in a series from Live Action
documenting similar behavior in 5 other states, comes amid recent
controversy about Planned Parenthood's compliance with state laws
regarding minors and abortion.

In the video, after hearing the girl is 14 and her boyfriend is "much
older," the counselor says whether or not the situation will be
reported by clinic workers "depends on the person you're disclosing
that information to." When the girl says that her boyfriend is 31, the
counselor tells her, "You don't have to say anything" about the
statutory rape and instructs her, "Just give them the information
that's needed." The counselor also confirms that the 31-
year-old "boyfriend" will be paying for the abortion.

<br>
In Wisconsin, sex between an adult and a minor under age 16 is a
felony, and health care professionals are required to report such cases
to law enforcement immediately. The law specifically includes abortion
providers in this requirement.
<br>
<br>
Live Action, the youth-led pro-life nonprofit that produced the video,
has previously released undercover footage in its "Mona Lisa Project"
showing sexual abuse cover-up at Planned Parenthood clinics in
California, Indiana, Arizona, Tennessee, and Alabama. The Alabama
Department of Health put a Birmingham Planned Parenthood on probation
two weeks ago after finding 9 legal violations during an investigation
prompted by a Live Action video.

Twenty-one-year-old UCLA student Lila Rose, Live Action's president,
says her organization's videos reveal a common trend of unethical
counseling practices and disregard for the law at Planned Parenthood,
the largest abortion provider in the U.S.: "In case after case, Planned
Parenthood acts in contempt of its legal and professional obligations
to report child rape. At a time when the Obama administration, through
its new health care plan, is offering potentially billions of dollars
to the abortion industry, state and federal lawmakers need to take

counseling and medical misinformation at Planned Parenthood of

<p>WASHINGTON, DC, February 22, 2010 (<a
href="http://www.lifesitenews.com/">LifeSiteNews.com</a>) - A new
health
care bill proposed by President Obama Monday threatens to expand
abortion even more drastically than the health care bills stymied in
Congress over the past several months, says the National Right to Life
Committee [and other sources].</p>
<p>The White House is threatening to ram the proposal
through the Senate on a 51-vote majority using a tactic known as
"budget
reconciliation". The process circumvents the need for a
filibuster-proof 60-vote majority [per Senate rules put in place by a
Democrat majority] by placing the health care overhaul
under the heading of a "budget" bill.</p>
<p>"Any member
of Congress who votes for the final legislation proposed by President
Obama will be voting for direct federal funding of elective abortion
through Community Health Centers, and also an array of other
pro-abortion federal subsidies and mandates," said NRLC Legislative
Director Douglas Johnson in a statement Monday. [PFLI note: Extra
funding for chemical abortions and Planned Parenthood are also included
in the Obama plan.]<br>
</p>
<p>Johnson pointed
out that the earlier Senate bill was itself "the most expansively
pro-abortion bill ever brought to the floor of either house of Congress
since Roe v. Wade." That bill was brought to a screeching
halt in January, thanks to the unexpected victory of Massachusetts
Republican Scott Brown, who handed Senate Republicans the one vote
needed to maintain a filibuster.</p>
<p>Among the president's
proposed "targeted set of changes to" the Senate bill, Johnson
said, none "diminish any of the sweeping pro-abortion problems in
the Senate bill, and he actually proposes to increase the funds that
would be available to directly subsidize abortion procedures (through
Community Health Centers) and to subsidize private health insurance
that
covers abortion (through the premium-subsidy tax credits
program)."</p>
<p>"If all of the President's changes were
made," said Johnson, "the resulting legislation would allow
direct federal funding of abortion on demand through Community Health
Centers, would institute federal subsidies for private health plans
that
cover abortion on demand (including some federally administered plans),
and would authorize federal mandates that would require even
non-subsidized private plans to cover elective abortion."</p>

<p>Meanwhile,
despite Obama's bipartisan health care summit set for broadcast
Thursday, White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer indicated
Monday that Democrats were ultimately willing to push the bill through
reconciliation with zero Republican help.</p>
<p>While the White House
has "made no determinations on which process to move forward
with," he said, "Our proposal is designed to give ourselves
maximum flexibility to ensure that we can get an up or down vote if the
opposition decides to take the extraordinary step of filibustering
health reform." <br>
<br>
Republicans, and even some Democrats, are skeptical that the
Thursday summit will amount to anything more than political
theatre.</p>
<p>“I’m not certain what the White House is up to, but it
appears they are trying to meld a bill together without, again, any
input from Republicans," said Republican Georgia Rep. Tom Price,
according to Politico. Price was not invited to the health care
talks at Blair House on Thursday. </p>

/Christian Newswire/ -- Operation Rescue has been notified by the State
of New York Department of Health that abortionist Salomon Epstein is
now under investigation for his part in the abortion death of Alexandra
Nunez at a New York City abortion clinic owned by him.

The investigation, which is being conducted by the Office of
Professional Medical Conduct, is the result of a complaint filed by
Operation Rescue staff person Tara Shaver. The case is OPMC
#10-02-0688.
<br>
<br>
Nunez died on January 25, 2010, after an abortionist severed an artery
during her abortion. The injury led to massive bleeding and eventually
cardiac arrest. Nunez was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died.
The abortion clinic, A-1 Women's Center, is located in a predominately
Hispanic neighborhood in a run-down building that doubles as a plastic
surgery center.

After Nunez's death, an unidentified clinic worker told reporters that
everything had "gone well" at the abortion clinic. "Nothing happened
here," she said.
<br>

"Just one look at the A-1 Women's Center and it is easy to guess why
this happened. I wouldn't take my dog there," said Operation Rescue
President Troy Newman. "Nasty little abortion clinics like this spring
up in Hispanic and Black neighborhoods in order to prey on vulnerable
women instead of offering them real solutions and hope. We are glad to
do our part to protect women from dangerous and predatory abortion
mills like this one. May the investigation result in its permanent
closure." <br>
